  • Qualifying criteria

    • You must be an individual or legal entity with a South African bank account.
    • You must be a resident of and/or your business must be based in South Africa.
    • You must have a clear credit record and have no judgements against your name.

  • How it works

    • 3D Secure is mandatory for e-commerce merchants and is enforced by Payments Association of South Africa (PASA).
    • You will need to discuss the list of commerce service providers that we have integrated with to perform e-commerce transactions, with your regional office or key account manager.
    • Secure online processing of debit cards (limited to certain issuing banks’ cards) is facilitated by Authenticated Mobile Transactions (AMT) through PAYD™ and MasterPass, using the cardholder’s cell phone for PIN authentication. 

  • Value-added features

    • Real-time reporting and order management are available from your selected PSP.
    • Authenticated Mobile Transactions (AMT) through PAYD™ facilitates the secure online processing of debit cards (limited to certain issuing banks’ cards), using the cardholder’s cell phone for PIN authentication.
