- Download your Absa Banking App from Google Play, App Store or AppGallery
- Open your Absa Banking App and tap I already have an account
- Enter your ID number and tap Next
- Agree to the Privacy Statement
- Tap Scan face and allow your App to access your camera
- Once your facial scan is successful, Select the account you are trying to access
- Confirm your personal information by tapping Verify my details and Accept the verification request
Note: You can update your cellphone number by tapping on This is not my number when confirming your Personal details. This option is only applicable if your facial scan was successful. - Create your digital banking PIN, re-enter your PIN then tap Confirm PIN
- Create your digital banking password, re-enter your Password then tap Confirm password
- Create your passcode and re-enter your passcode to confirm
- Enable or Disable Touch ID or Facial recognition and tap Continue
- Confirm your details, and tap Complete registration
- You have successfully registered!

- Enter your South African ID number, then tap Next
- Accept the Privacy statement
- Tap Scan my face and allow your Absa Banking app to access your camera
- Your face will be scanned, then confirm the scan details
- Select the profile you would like to link
- Create a device nickname or skip
- Create your 5-digit app passcode, re-enter the passcode, then tap Confirm
- Enable Touch ID or Facial recognition for your app
- Select Touch ID or Facial recognition to make this your Verification device
- Tap Continue, then tap Done
- You have successfully linked your new device!
Note: The linking process is only available if you have a valid South Africa ID number and photo registered with the Department of Home Affairs. Please ensure that you are using the latest version of the Absa Banking App and that your cellphone number is updated with Absa.
If you are using an alternative identification method, you may link your device using your existing logon details.

- On the Absa Online Banking login page, click Reset PIN
- Enter your Access account number, User number and the CAPTCHA code
Click Next - Accept the verification request sent to your primary device

- Scan your face by looking directly at your phone
- Enter your new Absa Online Banking PIN and click Confirm
You have successfully reset your Absa Online Banking PIN - To reset your Absa Online Banking Password, click Change my password?

- Select an account to link to your ShapID

- Confirm to have Absa as your primary ShapID
- Tap Next, then Confirm your details
- You’re now registered for ShapID
- Tap ‘Share’ to send your ShapID or tap ‘Done’ to return to the home screen

- Tap Pay
- Select Pay a bill (Absa listed beneficiary)
- Select an institution and fill in Beneficiary details and tap Next
- Add the amount you would like to pay
- Tap Next and accept the verification request
- You have successfully paid and added an Absa listed beneficiary!
Note: Some institutions such as SARS, municipalities or department stores can't be paid normally because Absa has already added them as beneficiaries. These types of beneficiaries are called 'Absa listed beneficiaries'.

Redeem an in-coming SWIFT transaction
- A SWIFT payment SMS is sent to your cellphone
- Log in to your Absa Banking App
- Tap Menu, tap International Banking, then select SWIFT
- Select Inbound, incoming SWIFT transactions are displayed with an option to share your account details
- Select Incoming SWIFT transaction to redeem
- Select Sender type (Individual or Company), Reason for Payment and Sub-category for Payment
- Tap Next
- A summary of the transaction is displayed with a Reserve Bank Declaration
- Tap Accept transaction
- You have successfully redeemed your incoming SWIFT transaction!

Make an immediate interbank payment (IIP)
- Log in to your Absa Banking App
- Tap Pay, then tap Pay Someone New
- Enter the amount and select the relevant account
- Select Use their account details
- Enter beneficiary details and the beneficiary name, select a bank then enter the account number
- Tap Next and enter a beneficiary reference
- Select Immediate interbank payment then tap pay
- Confirm the payment details and accept the disclaimer by clicking Accept
- A final payment confirmation will pop up and tap Accept
- You have successfully made an Immediate interbank payment!

Make a once-off CashSend
- Log in to your Absa Banking App
- Tap the CashSend icon and select Once-off CashSend
- Enter an amount
- Enter the recipients mobile number, name and surname
- Enter your reference, then enter a 6-digit ATM access PIN and tap Next
- Enter your reference, access PIN, tap Next
- Confirm the beneficiary’s details and tap CashSend
- For security reasons, you may share the ATM access PIN with the recipient
- You have successfully sent a CashSend!

- Log in to your Absa Banking App
- Tap on the Buy Electricity icon in the top right of the screen
- Tap Buy for someone new, enter Beneficiary name, meter number and notification.
- Tap Next and confirm the Meter details displayed on the screen.
- Tap Continue and select the account you would like to use, then enter the amount
- Select your notification option (how you would like to receive your token).
- Tap Continue and tap Purchase to confirm
- On the Confirm Purchase screen, accept the acknowledgement, then tap Purchase
- Accept the verification request that pops up
- Your token will display on the screen, then tap done
- You have successfully purchased your prepaid electricity!
Note: You can purchase a prepaid minimum amount of R30 to a maximum of R5000 per day. A prepaid maximum amount of R5 000 can be purchased per month. For prepaid electricity queries please call us on 08600 08600.

- Tap Confirm Purchase, then accept the verification request that pops up
- Your token will display on the screen. Tap done
- You have successfully purchased prepaid electricity!

Add another account profile
- Open your Absa Banking App
- On the Pre-login screen, tap Users on the top right
- Tap Add user
- Tap on I already have an account “When adding multiple user accounts, we need to disable your Fingerprint access on the app for safety purposes” will pop up, tap Continue
- Enter your ID Number, then tap Next (Business, Joint or Power of Attorney cannot register)
- Agree to the Privacy Statement, then tap Scan face
- Select profile that you would like to add
- Enter your new device nickname, or select Skip to continue
- Create a new 5-digit passcode, then re-enter the new passcode to confirm
- You have successfully added another account profile to your App
Note: Biometric login will be disabled if more than one profile is added on the Absa Banking App and a passcode will be required for login instead.

- Login to your Absa Banking App
- Tap Menu on the bottom right of your screen, then tap Profile
- Tap Contact Details, then tap Edit
- Add your new contact details, then tap Continue

Update your FICA status

- Log in to your Absa Banking App
- Tap on your name at the top of the home screen Tap Personal details
- Tap Edit to update your Identity information
- Tap Upload documents to change your information or to update your FICA status
- Tap Add identity document, select the Type of document, then tap Continue
- View the File requirements, then tap OK
- Choose an option to upload the document
- Tap Add proof of residence, select the Type of document, then tap Continue
- View the File requirements, then tap OK
- Choose an option to upload the document, then tap Continue
- Tap Done when your document has been uploaded
- You have successfully updated your FICA status!
Note: The following file types can be uploaded: GIF, JPEG, PDF, PNG and TIFF. The maximum file size you can upload is 4MB. If your file does not adhere to the above rules, it will not be selected and uploaded.
After you have uploaded the documents it can take up to 48 hours before your FICA status will be updated on our system. Please note should we find the files you uploaded to be unsatisfactory, we will ask you to upload quality versions of the files.

Link your accounts to your Online Banking profile
- Log in to your Absa Banking App
- Tap Menu at the bottom right of your screen
- Scroll down, then tap Accounts settings
- Tap on the switch next to the required account to link it to your online banking profile
- Accept the verification request, then tap Save
- You have successfully linked your accounts to your Online Banking profile!
Note: You can link and unlink accounts on your individual profile only. Rewards accounts or accounts where monthly fees are paid from cannot be unlinked.

Reverse a debit order

- Tap Debit Orders
- Select the account that was used to make the debit order payment
- Under Recent debit orders, tap on the debit order you would like to reverse
- View Transaction details, then Tap Reverse Payment
- Read the Important Information tap Next
- Select a Reason for reversal, Accept the acknowledgement, then tap Reverse payment
- Accept the verification request that pops up
- You have successfully reversed your Debit order!
Note: Debit orders older than 40 days cannot be reversed on the App.

Download proof of payment
- Log in to your Absa Banking App
- Tap Menu on the bottom right of your screen, then tap Beneficiaries
- On the Payments tab, select your beneficiary
- Tap Send notice of payment, then select the required payment
- Fill in the details of Notice of Payment
- Tap My payment notification, then select your preferred notification
- Tap Send notice of payment
- On the Overview screen, tap Confirm send
- You have successfully sent a notification of proof of payment!

Request a Personal loan Settlement Letter
- Log in to your Absa Banking App
- Tap on your Personal loan account
- Tap the Documents tap
- Tap Settlement Quote, then tap Next
- Select a reason for viewing your quote
- Tap View settlement quote
- Tap Download
- You have successfully requested your Personal Loan Settlement Letter!

Order a Card that is expiring on your Absa Banking App
- Log in to your Absa Banking App
- Tap cards at the bottom left of the screen
- If you have a card that will be expiring soon, an orange notification will appear on the cards tab
- Tap the orange tab to be routed to the order new card journey
- There are two options on how you can receive your card, the card can either be delivered via Courier services or can be collected at a branch of your choice
- If you select the face-to-face Courier option, your Delivery details will be displayed.
Note: You cannot change the delivery address. - You have the option to change your contact number, please be mindful that when you do change your contact number, your profile will be updated with the contact number provided.
- Tap Continue
- Confirm if the details are correct and tap confirm
- Accept the verification request
- If you would like to see the progress of the delivery of your card tap “Track delivery”
- You have successfully ordered a new card!
Note: The courier will contact you to arrange the delivery of the card. Please have proof of identity available on the day of the delivery.

Apply for Flexi Funeral Cover
- Log in to your Absa Banking App
- Tap Explore, then select Flexi Funeral Cover
- Tap Apply now
- Select your cover, then tap Continue
- If you want to add a member tap Add a family member
- Complete their details, tap Add family member, then tap Continue
- Complete debit order and beneficiary details, then tap Next
- View the details, tick to agree to the terms and conditions, then tap Confirm
- Your application is approved then tap Done
- You have successfully applied for a Flexi Funeral Cover!
Note: Flexi Funeral Cover offers up to R100 000 including extended family members.

Submit a Flexi Funeral Plan claim
- Log in to your Absa Banking App
- Tap on the Insurance hub, then select your Flexi Funeral Insurance
- Tap Submit a claim
- Read through the requirements, then tap Claim now
- Select the deceased member who passed away, the cause of death, then tap Continue
- Complete the payout details, then tap Continue
- View details captured, then tick to declare the information supplied is true and correct
- Tap confirm and accept the verification request
- You have successfully submitted a claim!
Note: You can upload the documents or email the documents to funeral.absalife@absa.co.za. Call us on 0860 227 253 for assistance.

- Log in to the Absa Banking App
- Tap on the Insurance tile
- Select the insurance policy to view its documents
- Tap Documents, then select the document you want to view
- A PDF version of the document will open
- You have successfully viewed your policy documents!
Note: Documents for life and short-term policies can be viewed on the Absa Banking App as well as on Absa Online Banking.

Request an Absa Instant Life quote
- Log in to your Absa Banking App
- Tap Offers, then select Absa Instant Life cover
- Read the information on the screen, then tap Quote
- Complete your Personal Details, then tap Next
- Slide to choose the Life Cover amount, then tap Yes, call me
- You have submitted your Absa Instant Life query. Tap Done
- You have successfully requested an Absa Instant Life cover quote!
Note: Absa Instant Life provides an indicative quote. An Absa call centre agent will call you back for a full quote.

Edit your beneficiary on your Absa Life policy
- Log in to your Absa Banking App
- Tap on the Insurance hub and tap on your Absa Life policy
- Tap Manage then tap Manage beneficiaries
- Select the beneficiary that you would like to edit from the list
- Fill in the Beneficiary contact and Personal details then tap Continue
- Allocate a percentage for each beneficiary or tap Share equally
- Tap Continue and review the details and tap Confirm
- Accept the verification request that pops up
- You have successfully edited your Life policy beneficiary on your App!

Delete a beneficiary on your Absa Life policy
- Log in to your Absa Banking App
- Tap on the Insurance hub and tap on your Absa Life policy
- Tap Manage and tap Manage beneficiaries
- Tap Remove in the top right of the screen
- Tap on the bin icon to select the beneficiary that you want to remove
- Tap Yes on the pop up message to remove the beneficiary
- Allocate a percentage for each beneficiary or tap Share equally
- Tap Continue and review the details and tap Confirm
- Accept the verification request that pop ups
- You have successfully deleted a beneficiary!

- Tap on the Insurance hub and select your Absa Life policy and tap Submit a claim
- Select Retrenchment/ Loss of Income claim type
- Select your employment status and tap start claim
- Read through the requirements and tap next
- Complete Retrenchment/ Loss of income details and tap next
- Complete Employment details and tap next
- Confirm all data and tap confirm
- Upload or e-mail claim documents
- You have successfully submitted your Retrenchment/Loss of Income claim!

Pay arrears on your Absa Life Policy
- Log in to your Absa Banking App
- Tap on the Insurance hub and select your Absa Life policy
- Tap on the Pay arears card or Pay arears under the Manage tab
- Complete the payment details and tap Continue

- Accept verification request that pops up
- You have successfully submitted an arrears payment!
