  • Qualifying criteria

    You must:

    • Be 18 years or older;
    • Earn a minimum of R4,000 a month to qualify for embedded credit*
    • Not be insolvent or having applied for, or under, debt counselling, or curatorship;
    • Not have signed surety for a company that is currently under business rescue;
    • Give consent to do a Credit Bureau check;
    • Be a South African citizen or resident with a valid South African identity document;
    • Have spousal consent if you are married, or deemed to be married, in community of property.

     

    Customers who are 55 and over will qualify for an Ultimate Prosperity Account.
    If your spouse has an Ultimate Banking account, you may qualify for a Spousal Account at a discounted monthly fee

  • Documents needed

    • Bar-coded ID book or card
    • Proof of income
    • Any one of the following documents* (original or certified copies) verifying your residential address:

    o Utility bill

    o Lease or rental agreement

    o Cellphone or clothing store statement

    o Bank statement from another bank

    o Correspondence from SARS.
     

    *Must not be more than 3 months old.
