  • Extended Cover

    Your benefits:

    • Credit Shortfall Cover: Covers the difference between your outstanding balance and the retail or market value of your car if it is written off in an accident, stolen or hijacked.
    • Excess Cover: Get up to R10 000 in the event your car is written off, stolen, or totally damaged.
    • Car Hire: Get assistance for car hire up to a maximum of R2 000 after your insurer settles your total loss claim.
    • Deposit Protector: Get up to 10% of the sum insured on your original deposit, registration/licensing and dealership fees you paid when you purchased your vehicle if it is stolen or written off.
    • Violation Cover: Get covered if your comprehensive insurance claim is rejected because you unintentionally violated the terms and conditions of your policy.
    • PhotoFinish: Covers minor dents and scratches on your car and alloy wheels up to a maximum of R2 000. Top-Up option available for an additional R3 000 cover.
    • Road Accident Fund (RAF) assistance: Access to a professional RAF claims management system at no cost for efficient and fair handling of your RAF claim.

    What you need to know

    • Your car must be financed by Absa.
    • You must have existing comprehensive car insurance in place.
    • Your premium remains fixed for the duration of your Extended Cover Policy and is included as a part of your monthly vehicle finance instalment.

  • Mechanical Breakdown Warranty

    A mechanical or electrical warranty covers new and second-hand vehicles for over 35 components per policy cover limit. Cover for one or two years is transferable to the new owner if the car is sold.

    Additional benefits:

    • Towing
    • Strip and quote
    • Oils and consumables.

    Exclusions: 

    • Any parts not covered under the Components covered section of the policy
    • Cost of routine servicing of the vehicle
    • Any cause of failure that existed at the time of purchasing the policy
    • Accidental damages.

  • Booster Warranty

    This warranty gap cover can be bought for vehicles with an underlying pre-owned warranty policy. It provides additional cover for specifically listed components as per cover limits.

    Additional benefits:

    • Five-day car hire per year, in the event of mechanical or electrical breakdown.
    • Additional Component Cover covers components not covered in the underlying warranty, up to specified limits.
    • Roadside assistance.

    Exclusions: 

    • Any parts not covered under the Components covered section of the policy
    • Cost of routine servicing of the vehicle
    • Any cause of failure that existed at the time of purchasing the policy
    • Accidental damages.

  • Tyre and Rim Insurance

    We’ll cover the repair or replacement of damaged tyres or rims of your vehicle.

    Where the replacement value of the tyre is more than the policy limit, the policyholder will be responsible for the difference.

    • Wheel balancing and alignment benefit
    • Wheels are balanced, aligned and filled with nitrogen once a year
    • The policy does not cover every eventuality. Terms and conditions apply..

  • Dent and Scratch Insurance

    • Minor dents: We’ll cover the repair of minor dents, provided that the vehicle is made of conventional metal that has not been stretched, or the paintwork has not been damaged. 
    • Scratches or chips: We’ll cover minor chips or scratches if the damages are to the clear or topcoat of the vehicle. Where the undercoat or metal is visible or the paint is flaking due to rust, it will not be covered.
    • Tar removal repairs: We’ll cover the removal of tar from your vehicle, as long as the repair doesn’t result in the replacement of any vehicle part or body panel. 
    • Rim or wheel repairs: We’ll cover the restoration of the outer surface of your vehicle’s wheel or rim. 
    • Air conditioner treatment: We’ll cover the treatment to eliminate harmful bacteria and fungi growing inside the aircon system, excluding the cost of regassing the aircon. 

     

    Interior:

    • Metal finishes are excluded.
    • Recovering ripped or torn centre armrests.
    • Repairing torn fabric or leather on seats and headrests, including loose stitching. If the exact fabric/leather is unavailable, a suitable replacement will be used.
    • Repairing centre console scratches, scuffs or rubber peeling.
    • Repairing or respraying scratches and scuffs to the plastic door kick panel and plastic door panel (including door grab handles).
    • Repairing or replacing a damaged hand brake boot.
    • Respraying the steering wheel.
    • Repairing or replacing the rubber heel mat inserts.
    • Recovering the carpets on the base of the boot. The clips and sidewall rubber/plastic or carpets are excluded.
    • Respraying a faded gear lever.
    • Repairing sun visor damage by replacing broken clips.

    All damages occurring before the inception date of your policy will not be covered.
