How to get your CashSend money

You can get your CashSend money at an Absa ATM, Pick n Pay or Boxer

  • Absa ATM

    Withdraw CashSend money at an Absa ATM

    1. At the Absa ATM select CashSend Withdrawal
    2. Enter your 10-digit reference or withdrawal number sent to your cellphone
    3. Enter the 6-digit PIN from your sender
    4. Withdraw your money

     

  • Retailers

    Get CashSend money at Pick n Pay or Boxer
     

    1. Go to any till point at Pick n Pay or Boxer
    2. Present your 10-digit withdrawal and 6-digit PIN to the till operator
    3. You will be given the full amount of your CashSend money

     

Ways to send money using CashSend

  1. Log in to Absa Online Banking
  2. Click 'CashSend on the top of the screen' then select 'CashSend beneficiaries'
  3. Click 'CashSend a new beneficiary'
  4. Accept the verification request sent to your registered device
  5. Complete the beneficiary details as well as the CashSend details, Click 'Next'
  6. Verify the CashSend details and click 'Confirm'
  7. Accept the verification request sent to your registered device
  8. Your Cashsend transaction is successful, Click Done

Your beneficiary will receive an SMS with a 10-digit reference or withdrawal number

For existing and once-off beneficiaries, the CashSend limits are R5 000 per day and R25 000 per month. For your convenience, you can send amounts in increments of R50 or rounded to the nearest R100. Your CashSend transaction is available for 30 days only. You can also manage your unredeemed CashSend transactions on Absa Online Banking.

  1. Log in to Absa Online Banking
  2. Click the ‘Full Service’ tab
  3. Click ‘Payments’
  4. Select ‘CashSend ‘
  5. Click ‘Send single’, then select your account
    Enter your beneficiary details
    Enter the amount you want to send
    Enter your 6-digit ATM access PIN or Code, confirm, then enter your reference
    Click ‘Next’
  6. Accept the verification request sent to your cellphone
  7. Confirm your payment and click ‘Done’

  1. Log in to Absa Banking App
  2. Tap the 'CashSend' icon
  3. Select 'Once-off CashSend'
  4. Select the account to pay from
    Insert amount you want to pay
    Enter recipient name, surname and mobile number
    Enter your reference
    Enter your 6-digit ATM access PIN or Code and tap Next
  5. Tap 'Continue' to confirm your beneficiary's information
  6. Beneficiary will be added automatically
  7. Enter the amount you would like to send
  8. Enter your reference and access PIN or Code
  9. Tap 'Next'
  10. Tap 'CashSend'
  11. For security reasons, you may share the ATM access PIN with the recipient
  12. Your CashSend transaction is successful

  1. Dial *120*2272#, and enter your 5-digit PIN
  2. Select 5 to proceed
    Tap 'Send'
  3. Select 2 to send to a new beneficiary
    Tap 'Send'
  4. Enter your beneficiary's cellphone number
    Tap 'Send'
  5. Enter your beneficiary's name
    Tap 'Send'
  6. Select the account you wish to debit
    Tap 'Send'
  7. Enter the amount you wish to send
    Tap 'Send'
  8. Enter the 6-digit access PIN or Code that your beneficiary will use to get the fund from an Absa ATM
    Tap 'Send'
  9. Confirm the transaction by selecting 1
    Tap 'Send'
  10. Send the access PIN or Code and amount of money sent to your beneficiary

Note: For existing and once-off beneficiaries, the CashSend limits are R500 per day and R3 000 per month. For your convenience it is recommended to send amounts in increments of R50 or rounded to the nearest R100. Your CashSend transaction is available for 30 days only. You can also manage your unredeemed CashSend transactions on Absa Online Banking.    

 

  1. Insert your Absa account card into an Absa ATM
  2. Enter your card PIN and select 'Next'
  3. Seletc 'Other options'
  4. Select 'CashSend'
  5. Select 'Transfer funds'
  6. Read and accept the Terms and Conditions
  7. Select your account
  8. Enter your CashSend amount then select 'Next'
  9. Enter your recipient's cellphone number then select 'Next'
  10. Confirm the transfer details then select 'Next'
  11. Enter your 6-digit ATM access PIN or Code then select 'Next'
  12. Re-enter your access PIN or Code then select 'Next'
  13. Take your receipt

Withdraw money from an ATM

  • Go to an Absa ATM
  • Select 'CashSend Withdrawal'
  • Enter your 10-digit reference or withdrawal number sent to tour cellphone
  • Enter the 6-digit access Code from your sender
  • Withdraw your money
