This is when your beneficiary receives an SMS, email or fax confirming your payment.

What is a payment limit?
When you first register for Absa Online Banking you’ll be asked to set up daily payment limits.
Payment limits apply to interaccount transfers, payments and stop orders.
The limit values are entirely up to you and you can reset them in your profile anytime.
This is an important part of your internet banking security. It can potentially stop a fraudster from transferring
very large sums of money from your account.You will only be able to transfer money and make payments within your set daily limits.
A payment limit is set independently from your account balance. You still need to have the money available to make payments.

Payment lead times
Internal transactions made from one Absa account to another should reflect immediately.
Immediate Interbank Payments (IIP) allow you to make payments to accounts held at other financial institutions available immediately.
Payments made to external bank accounts on Sundays or public holidays will be credited the following
business day.Payments made to external bank accounts during the week and on Saturdays follow these guidelines:
