  • What do I need to change to Absa?

    To move your salary:

    • Your company/organization/institution name
    • Salary payment date

    We will then send you a bank confirmation letter to give to your employer

    To move your debit orders:

    • Service provider name
    • Debit order amount
    • Next debit order due date
    • Your unique reference or account number with the service provider

    We will contact your service providers and initiate your debit order move for you. If your service providers are not supported by us then we will send you a debit move letter which you can give to your provider to initiate your debit order move.

  • How can I track my move request?

    There are several ways you can stay on top of your change requests:

    • We will keep you updated on the progress of your requests via SMS, email, or a phone call.
    • You can also track your move progress at any time using Absa Online or your Absa Banking App.
    • Call us on 0860 100 372 and choose option 5; or send an email to switching@absa.co.za
  • How do I get my bank confirmation letter?

    • Get your bank confirmation letter either via your Absa Banking App or Absa Online Banking
    • Send your bank confirmation letter to your employer or HR department and ask them to move your salary
    • Contact your debit order service providers and give them your new banking details

    How to get your bank confirmation letter from your Absa Banking App

    1. Logon into your Absa Banking App
    2. Tap ‘Menu’
    3. Select ‘Documents’ and you will find your bank confirmation letter

    How to get your confirmation letter from Absa Online Banking

    1. Log in into Absa Online Banking
    2. Click on the ‘Accounts’ tab
    3. Select the account for which the bank confirmation letter is required
    4. Click on the ‘Bank confirmation letter’ tab
    5. Accept the verification request sent to your phone
    6. Click ‘View on your Absa Online Banking’
